A few more stunning close-ups from our photoshoot with @marie_keating_photo_and_film - this time featuring the brilliant Emma and Aisling.

🏁 Emma is our committee Race Officer. She keeps us on track by building our annual race calendar and coordinating club attendance for events throughout the year.

👟 Aisling is one of our incredible club ambassadors who support the committee. As our Women in Sport Ambassador, Aisling does amazing work promoting, supporting, and empowering the women in our community.

Another race in the books for our fabulous Frontrunners as we all took on the Cheetah Run! 🏎️ Huge thanks to @eagle_ac_cork for organizing such a classic event, we look forward to it every year!

Major congrats as well to @aaron.kelly.731 who was the 5th in the men's category and 7th overall! 🎉

Well done to every single one of our runners that's completed the race, I know that hill at the end was daunting but at least there were biscuits after! 😎

This time it's some solo shots of our committee members, Jack and Rónan. 📸

Rónan is the secretary for Frontrunners & Briskwalkers Cork and the race director for our annual Cork Pride 5K. He helps to ensure the club's smooth running, pardon the pun. 🌈

Jack runs our social media and website and always ensures that everyone is kept in the loop and looking their best on the grid! (Despite any claims to the contrary)📱✨

We've had such a flurry of activities in the past while that we've got a backlog of pics we had yet to post so let's just call this Q1 👌

Some great running 🏃 and briskwalking 🚶‍♀️, a special guest visit from our mascot 🐶, some fantastic strength and conditioning classes 💪 with @poweredbyrory, and some excellent food at the @marinamarketcork. ✌️

Things are only going to get even better as we come into Summer 🌞 so there's never been a better time to come along and join us! We run every Monday at 7pm at Kennedy Park and every Saturday at 10am at the Marina market car park.

We put it through its paces with some high-intensity sprints and the best part? Every one of our runners got to keep their pair! 🎁

It was another fabulous weekend in Rosscarbery and made all the better by such wonderful company! This was the biggest delegation of Frontrunners we've ever sent down to West Cork and we hope to make it even bigger next year.

A fantastic race unlike any other and one of our favourite events of the year. Well done to the organisers @surfturfntar and we'll most definitely be seeing you again next year!

After the race we all gathered in @celticrosshotel to refuel and celebrate another successful year on the coast. The "Turf" might have been tough, but the company was top-tier as always! 🏅✨

It's been a whole year since we released our club kit. Over the years since we started our humble running club we've had red, orange, yellow, green, blue and finally purple.

Having reached the end of the rainbow 🌈 we commemorated our journey with a photoshoot with the extremely talented @marie_keating_photo_and_film

Thanks so much to Marie for her amazing work (which you will see more of soon 👀) , to the @gayprojectirl for helping us since the start, and to everyone who's ever laced up and ran or brisk walked with us over the years!

Last Friday we celebrated 4 years of our beloved Briskwalkers with a walking tour of Shandon led by our very own Brian and JQ. Following that we stopped in O'Sullivans for some delicious cake to mark the occasion. 🎂😋

A fabulous evening! Here's to 4 more years (at least) of fun, friendship and most importantly briskwalking!

Finally getting around to posting about our fabulous club trip up to Belfast!

We joined the @belfastfrontrunners for their weekly run, taking in the sights from the C.S. Lewis statues to the grounds of Stormont. The rest of the weekend was spent soaking up the best the city has to offer, from fine dining and Black Cab tours to the Titanic Museum and, of course, a night at @themaverickbelfast!

Huge thanks to the Belfast crew for being such incredible hosts and showing us the ropes. It was a weekend full of culture, and community.

We can’t wait to return the favor when you’re next down south! 🏃‍♂️🌈✨

It's graduation time! 🌈 🎓.

Today we switched it up from our regular Marina run so we could join our Couch to 5K graduates in their inaugural 5K race with the @tramore_valley_parkrun 🏃💨

Thanks to all the volunteers who make the event possible! (P.S. There's always room for more volunteers if you ever wanted to be incredibly productive any Saturday morning! 👀)

We've managed to capture most of the before and after of our graduates. Congratulations to all of them. They've made us so proud today! ❤️ I hear the 5K to 10K program is in their bright futures.

What an absolutely fabulous time we've had going from the couch to races. They've been the most amazing group. 🥰🎉

New year, new runners! 🏃 Last night, after 8 week

New year, new runners! 🏃

Last night, after 8 weeks of training our couch to 5K participants have officially graduated to runners. They say time flies when you're having fun! 😉

We had a little graduation ceremony to celebrate our new runners with some well earned pizza. 🍕

We're so proud of our graduates and all the progress they've made and they should be more proud of themselves for the time, effort, and energy they've put into this program. 💪

Those 2026 new year's resolutions can be ticked off as completed successfully! 🙌

Happy international Women's Day! 💜

Yesterday our club celebrated with a new tradition we're calling the Rose Run, a 5K dedicated specifically to International Women's Day. 🌹

The idea came from our Croatian Women in Sport Officer, Zrinka, who shared a tradition from Croatia.

In the early celebrations of International Women’s Day in the 20th century, when the day was closely tied to the labour and women’s rights movements, giving flowers, often roses, became a way to show appreciation to mothers, teachers, coworkers, and friends while still recognising the importance of the day’s message about equality and women’s contributions to society.

To celebrate, we started the morning with a 5K. Afterwards, each of our female members received a rose as a small token of appreciation for everything they bring to the group, from encouragement on runs, to friendship and community off the route. 🌹

A huge thanks to Zrinka for bringing this lovely tradition to the club! ❤️

To all the incredible women in our community: thank you for the energy, positivity, and strength you bring every week. Our club wouldn’t be the same without you. 💜🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🥳

Women's+ Wednesday is back back back again! 💜 We

Women's+ Wednesday is back back back again! 💜

We are so proud to announce that the First Wednesday of every month is officially our dedicated Women’s+ run! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

After a successful kickoff, we’re making this a permanent fixture to ensure our LBQ women, trans, and non-binary members have an extra space to train and grow.

Our mission is to remove the barriers that might keep queer women and non-binary people away from sports. Whether it’s concerns about safety, gendered environments, or simply not seeing yourself represented, we want this to be the place where those hurdles disappear. 🥳

Our weekly regular Monday and Saturday runs remain open to everyone, every orientation and gender identity! 😎 With this additional monthly run on the first Wednesday of every month, we want to be able to build a stronger, more inclusive home for our women+ members. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
