Frontrunners & Briskwalkers Cork is Cork’s LGBTQIA+ running and walking club. We have been in existence since October 2018 and are still in full operation today.

Originally a part of the Cork Gay Project, the club has been self sufficient since the beginning of 2024, and we are incredibly grateful and proud of how far we have come since, and what our members have contributed towards the club. We are also proud to be an active social initiative based in Cork City and we are always welcoming new members and new ideas!

In 2025 we became an offcially registered sports club under Athletics Ireland as Frontrunners Cork A.C.

Our running and walking group is a diverse and welcoming community that unites individuals through not only a shared passion for both running and / or walking, but also a passion toward a way of meeting members of our community in a way that does not revolve around drinking culture. Our club provides a supportive space where members of all fitness levels can engage in group runs and walks, fostering connections and promoting a healthier lifestyle.

The added benefit of the social events outside of our normal meetings are a plus. We are always socialising after our runs and walks, either at The Idle Hour Bar on Monday evenings, or in The Marina Market on Saturday mornings. However we are regularly organising nights out also!
